still on the road

We left Forrest City, Arkansas this morning after our continental breakfast (cereal & coffee). We had to search for the scenic route that I wanted to take, sometimes the map just is NOT very clear. Jan is really good at finding the right road to get you to the right road, and that's just what he did. We rode through the countryside of Arkansas and saw lots of flowers and big pretty house and some not so pretty houses. There was a few turns and of course they were not on the map, at least I didn't see them, but Jan said it was perfecty clear to him. OK, maybe I get confused sometimes. I guess that's why we have each other. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes he is. We took the scenic route all the way across Arkansas, well almost all the way across. I will post a few pictures of the Ozarks we traveled through. We got almost to Oklahoma and ran into rain. We had pulled under a shelter at First Baptist Church of Green Forrest and thought the worst of it had passed, so we took off. OMG, we got about another mile down the road and the bottom fell out. We go soaked and the road turned into a river. I thought we were going to start floating. Needless to say I don't feel very safe when all three wheels are skiing down the road. I should know by now don't tell Jan to be careful, that just makes him less careful I think. Makes him mad :)))). I think thats my job though and I seem to do it well. lol We decided to stop in Eureka Springs for the night. Didn't want to chance any more showers today. We will try to get an early start tomorrow.

  3. I made an error in spelling again so I deleted the comment. I said I was glad you enjoy the blog. I am new at this, but have always kept a journal of sorts. I wish everyone could travel and see this country.
