Nova Scotia 6.22.13

We've been on the road 6 days, made it to our final destination.  I thank GOD above for the safety HE has given.  This has been a good trip, not great because we ran into rain ☔ twice but of course even that could have advantages.  Lol.  One I can think of right now was one of the most gorgeous rainbows I have seen🌈 pictures always lack the reality

Two Ferry day

Well I'm riding on the back of the trike so this will be slow typing. I don't want to risk dropping my phone so one hand has a death grip on it.
We left Georgetown at 6:00 am headed for the Cedar Island Ferry.

BLUSH DANCE COMPANY presents Join the Circus

On June 1, 2013 Blush presented Join The Circus.  It was the 4th annual recital for Blush.  We started on Friday the 31st getting ready for the big show.  Jan took his crew out to start the transformation of Rumph Pavilion into the imaginary circus tent.   We really appreciate everyone chipping in and helping with all the ladder climbing, duct taping, floor sweeping and all the other "stuff" that had to be done. We also want to thank everyone that helped with drinks, popcorn, cleaning and all the other jobs that were involved with putting on the show.  :)  Many, Many  thanks to all the parents, grandparents that bring your child to dance every week.

Tonight

Checking out my phone post to my blog. Getting ready for our trip

October trip

Well we were able to make the fall trip this year. We trailer our motorcycles to Sapphire Valley NC, where we stay at Wyndham time share. We had perfect weather for riding but the traffic on the main roads was really crazy. There were people that met Jan in his lane a few times and once some guy passed on double yellow in a curve and was almost a disaster. We found Hwy 281 north of Cashiers and it was just what we wanted. The color was beautiful and curves were nice and easy with the exception of a few 10 mph ones. We rode Thursday and Friday for several hours then had a late lunch at The Cornucopia Rest in Cashiers. The restaurant was very popular with locals and leaf lookers. The food was excellent and the service as well.
Saturday morning we saw 4 different waterfalls in the area. Whitewater Falls is the tallest in the Southeast and was just a short walk to it. Then on to Rainbow Falls and just 1/4 mile past it was Turtleback Falls. The hike to these was rather exhausting for this poor girl, and I thought I was in decent shape👎 not...

Old and new updates from 2012 and 2013 begins

Well it's been a while as usual.  We finished 2012 out with Jonas turning 4, and we celebrated with Chef Mickey in Disney.  He got his first taste of Disney and toured it as Jake The Neverland Pirate.  I will try to load some pics but I am on the IPad and not real savvy with blogging on it.  We had a great time watching the kids get loved on by Mickey, Minnie, Donald and all the rest of the famous characters.   Later in November we went to Daytona for 5 days and relaxed at Ocean Walk.  Brad wasn't able to go but everyone else came.  The first year I had a three bedroom and it was so nice for everyone to have a good bed instead of the sofa bed.  It was windy out most of the time but that was ok with us, we ate out at our favorite places, Aunt Catfish's, Boondocks and we tried a new place we like but can't think of the name right now.

Winter is winding down and I am glad!!

Well here it is March and time to start counting the days until Spring is officially here.  Thank You LORD for the seasons but I do NOT like winter.  I don't like to be cold.   We won't have much of a flower show this year I'm afraid because it was so warm early on they budded out and then we had a hard freeze and killed the buds.  I have gotten to where I don't anticipate the azaleas blooming because I get disappointed so often.

I'll try to catch up some on my life events.   We returned from our out west trip safely and I was glad to see my kids and grand kids again.  We always love our vacations but of course I love to get home also and get back to a routine.  We made another trip in October to Sapphire Valley, NC., we drove the truck and pulled our bikes in the trailer.   We were able to ride the area for a couple of days and found another favorite restaurant.
