We are in Daytona for a few days enjoying the sun and sand. I think Jan and I enjoyed the sun a little too much yesterday, we both have sunburns.
While I was looking out over the waves, I was thinking of the first time this farm girl went to the beach, I'm sure it was Jacksonville Beach, and I think my sister took me and my other sisters. I really couldn't remember much except for my momma telling me the salt water would help heal a burn I had on my leg from the motorcycle tailpipe. I had to of been in the 5th grade, then I thought of how blessed all these people are that have been on the beach all their lives. My husband was raised in Largo and was at the beach all the time. I do love hearing the sound of the waves and the sea gulls flying about. There are thousands of people out there, just shows the infatuation we have for the ocean. I hope this will be a "new beginning" for this blog.
