Holiday

                                              #proudamerican.  Happy 4th.   I love our USA

                                                           Swimming in the spring

What's the 4th of July without watermelon?
Our family spends the 4th at our river house in O'Brien, where we can relax and watch the Suwannee River roll on by, kinda like the Oh black water keep on rollin, but it's not Mississippi.  The Suwannee River pratically surrounds our county so most everyone enjoys the river activities.   The Suwannee has some major springs that flow into it from areas all up and down it.  We have two beautiful springs  right near us, Troy and Little River springs.   During the summertime hundreds of people flock to the cold bubbling springs to cool down.  This Florida heat is almost unbearable this time of the year.   Oh but let me tell you, one toe in that cold spring water and your doubting whether you want to get in or not.   Once you take the plunge though it is well worth it....chill bumps and all...  nothing can refresh you like those cold pristine waters.  Ummm they do feel heavenly when it's 100 degrees out.
We also love to sit and watch all the boaters going by pulling tubes with the kids yelling and screaming, all in fun though.   My little granddaughters peak through our deck railings waving and yelling hey, hey, hey, louder and louder until someone waves back to them.
